Fantasy Magazine February 1953
From the Weird Strange Archive
Features Hannes Bok's unmistakable jewel-toned palette and stylized mystical figures, providing an atmospheric fantasy tone distinct from the standard spaceships of 1950s digests.
Shortly after this premier issue dropped, rival publisher Ziff-Davis threatened a lawsuit over the similarity between Fantasy Magazine and their flagship digest, Fantastic. Consequently, publisher John Raymond altered the title to Fantasy Fiction starting with Issue #2.
